The items listed above are rough estimates, not the result of detailed inventory. All of our items are currently in UHAUL storage and it is very difficult to inventory the items without totally unpacking the room. I can say that the dimensions of the room are 8 x 14 x 5.5 and the room is pretty tightly packed. This may be the most reasonable way to estimate a price. I should note that there are approximately 5-6 steps on the way to the storage unit. UHAUL provides carts, dollies, and other gear to facilitate the move, if needed.
The TV is bulky and very heavy. The top of the coffee table is made of wood and tile and is also pretty heavy (though one person can carry it up the stairs). The move-in apt. is on the 4th floor but there are three flights of stairs leading up to it. The three flights have 18, 17, and 16 steps respectively. The halls are pretty narrow but there shouldn't be any issue getting the items through them. I will help move all of the items with the exception of the TV and sofas (I'll leave these to the pros.) |
