How to choose a mover :

Price:
Price is obviously a huge factor. However, read the reviews and be wary of movers that could charge you extra fees.

Reviews:
Read the mover reviews carefully. Most small movers do their business through word of mouth, as advertising can be expensive. You determine how much more you are willing to pay for a mover with good reviews.

Insurance:
Unless it is specifically stated in their description, assume the mover does not have insurance. If they had it, it would be mentioned. Is that a bad thing? Well, if you're moving a very expensive projection television or a piano, you MAY be better off with an insured mover. However, insured movers may charge more to account for their insurance premiums. See what prices you can get. The decision is yours. A majority of moves in NY, NJ, and CT are actually uninsured. Some customers feel that making a claim against an insured mover is just as difficult. Most movers are reasonable and will pay for damaged items. Especially small movers, who cannot afford advertising and depend on word of mouth. Remember, if they don't pay, you can now put up a bad review on CitiMove. They will lose a lot more by not paying you.

Movers With No Feedback:
Just because a mover has no feedback, does not mean that he is a bad mover. Keep in mind, most people only submit reviews if they have a complaint. They are much less likely to submit a review if they've had a good experience. There are many great movers with a ton of experience that are new to CitiMove.
